Location: Wigton, Cumbria, UK
The Company is now looking to recruit an Electrical Design & Development Engineer to work within the Project Engineering Department of our Cellophane Plant, based in Wigton, Cumbria.

All aspects of modern efficient engineering are used to maximise performance and further develop the production process. Work is varied and seeing projects through from concept to working production offers a high degree of involvement and satisfaction.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager the work involves the design of new and development of existing plant control and instrumentation projects. The successful candidate will closely liaise with process and technical representatives and with external consultants, suppliers and contractors.

A good working knowledge of PLC based process control systems, particularly Siemens S7 (usually involving networked communications e.g. Profibus, Ethernet etc), AC and DC variable speed drives and current IEE wiring regulations is essential.  A knowledge of the design and installation of hazardous area equipment and systems would also be beneficial. This design will be implemented using electrical CAD software, so ability on such systems is highly desirable.

Applicants ideally will be graduate Electrical Engineers, be confident, innovative, self motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision in a team environment. Consideration will be given to engineers qualified to HNC minimum with relevant experience and good knowledge of the relevant codes and legislation.

In the first instance applicants should send their CV and covering letter (including details of current salary) to Mrs. T.J. Lister, HR Services Officer, Innovia Films Ltd, Wigton, Cumbria, CA7 9BG. Tel: 016973 41528. E-Mail: tracey.lister@innoviafilms.com.  Applicants who are subsequently invited for interview will be required to complete a Company Application Form.   Closing date: Friday, 19 October 2007.
