Biodegradable Labels

In recent years the life cycle of plastic materials has come under increasing scrutiny. Consumers and Industry alike are seeking alternative materials which have a lower environmental impact than their petrochemical based plastic counterparts. In response to these new challenges Innovia Films have developed Natureflex™ label facestock films, designed specifically for pressure-sensitive labelling applications and which compliment the highly successful Natureflex™ packaging films that are enjoying great success as biodegradable and sustainable packaging materials.

Based on cellulose, derived from woodpulp, the new films come from sustainable resources and are approved for composting in both home and industrial conditions. Innovia Films substantial experience in the pressure-sensitive labelling market has now been applied to the Natureflex™ label films, which benefit from excellent printability and adhesive key, resulting from the use of novel biodegradable top-coat technology.
